Can you actually lift a 1 rating to a 5 in one visit? +
In many cases, yes — provided the structural fabric is sound and management has the documentary trails in place. A poorly cleaned kitchen with otherwise compliant operations regularly moves up two or three ratings after a targeted EHO-aligned clean.
Why is this different from a normal deep clean? +
A deep clean is comprehensive but generic. An EHO pre-inspection clean is targeted at the specific items the FSA inspection form asks about — hand-wash availability, probe thermometers, chopping board colour-coding, temperature logs, structural cleanliness scoring.
How quickly can you be on site? +
Within 12 hours of booking in most of our cities. Same-evening cover is the most common slot.
Do you handle anything beyond cleaning? +
We leave a cleaning schedule template, a probe calibration log and a corrective-action checklist on-site. Anything beyond that — fabric repairs, equipment replacement, pest control — is referred to specialist contacts.
What if my inspection has already happened and the rating dropped? +
Book a deep clean immediately, then request an EHO re-inspection. Re-inspection costs around £190 (officer-specific) and is usually granted within 14 days of request.
